| A beautiful, classic ivory coloured gown reminiscent of the 1950�s. The luxurious satin bodice is fully lined and boned and features exquisite crystal beading detail on the lace appliqu�. The drop waist bodice is very flattering. The bodice finished with a satin ribbon, which accentuates a smaller waist. I added an antique brooch. While the gown was originally strapless (see model photo), I had it altered into a halter neck which could easily be altered back into a strapless. The sunray pleating of the chiffon skirt is a stunning feature of this dress. As you walk the layers of chiffon move like liquid. Originally the dress had a longer chapel length train but I had this trimmed into a sweep train which allowed me to walk easily in a garden setting without having to bustle it up. I am 162cm tall and wore 4.5cm heels on the day. I bought this gown as a size 14 but it was altered. The current measurements for a size 14 for this style gown are
Bust 38 inches--Waist 29.5 inches--Hips 41.5 inches--The bodice/bust of my dress was altered down to a size 12-13 for me. The dress would have a small amount in seam to allow the dress to be let out. The hip measurements stayed the same. . This was a light and very comfortable gown to wear. It has been professionally dry cleaned and boxed and is in perfect condition.
